Busy week

This past week was a busy week in the Dwyer family. Saturday night Mom & Dad went on a scavenger hunt in Augusta with Mike & Vicki and were the 3rd team to finish (out of 26), plus we were the most in-synch YMCA dancers! Madelyn & Grace had Nana & Grampie over while Claire stayed with Nonnie & Gimp.

Sunday we all went to church as a family for the first time. Claire woke up Monday morning with a fever after a trip to PCP in Winthrop into the hospital in Augusta for blood work (results were negative) and she seemed fine by the afternoon. That may be a preview of what our winter will be (i.e. frequent doctor visits). On Tuesday the girls went to Portland to meet with Claire's surgeon, who gave her a clean bill of health (she weighed 9lbs, 2 oz). Back to Winthrop Peds on Wednesday for her 4 month checkup and 4 shots!

Daddy had a busy week, too......out Wednesday night for KSB employee appreciation dinner and out Thursday night as the Bank hosted a Winthrop Chamber Business After Hours Event. We helped Mike celebrate his 40th birthday with a surprise party, at his house, Friday. Saturday it poured all day and was very windy. Mom & Dad went out for dinner while Madelyn & Grace played with a new babysitter - Emily.

Thursday the girls got to meet and play with their cousin Nolan (from Mass.). On Friday Gracie had gymnastics. and Madelyn's elementary school had a book fair that the family went to. Madelyn is now able to help M&D by changing Claire (both diapers and clothes). Tomorrow Claire looks forward to meeting Grammie & Grampa Wentzell for the first time who are coming up from Portland for lunch at Nana & Grampie's house.

A new beginning

Now that Claire is home and her surgery behind her, we (hopefully) won't need to update her blog anymore! We still want to have a place to keep everyone updated so, with apologies to my sister for following in the footsteps of www.jewettfamilynews.blogspot.com, we give you www.dwyerfamilynews.blogspot.com.

Claire is now home! Half a pound lighter and using her colon for the first time. In all seriousness, thank you to everyone for the love, support and help you have shown us over the past four-plus months (if you want to catch up on the first four months of Claire's life, go to: www.babydwyer.blogspot.com). Thank you.

Love,
Matt, Jessica, Madelyn, Grace & Claire
